Jill Wetherell

Obituary of Jill Ann Wetherell

Jill Wetherell, age 75, formerly of Mountain Home and a resident of Eagle, peacefully departed from this world on Tuesday, February 6, 2024, surrounded by her loving family. Born on August 8, 1948, in Brooklyn, New York, Jill was the cherished daughter of Bartholomew and Audrey Mannion. Due to her father's service in the United States Air Force, Jill's childhood was adorned with experiences across the globe. She learned to navigate life's currents swimming in the Mediterranean Sea and found her passion as a competitive swimmer during her time in Hawaii.

At the age of 13, Jill's family settled in Mountain Home, Idaho, where she encountered the love of her life, Dennis. Their union in June of 1968 marked the beginning of a beautiful journey together. They were blessed with two children, Matthew and Mark, and their life was adorned with countless adventures and entrepreneurial ventures. From Whata’ Racket to the Fresh Catch Deli, Jill's entrepreneurial spirit flourished alongside Dennis'. Along with the many social events in Idaho, you could find them at the family cabin in Featherville, on a golf course or traveling.  After Dennis's passing in 2002, Jill courageously took the reins of Guarantee Title, Inc., guiding it with dedication until her retirement. In her later years, she found solace in the tranquil ambiance of Eagle, Idaho. Jill continued her love of social entertaining and winning at cards.

Jill's greatest joy was found in the company of her cherished friends and family. Her pride and love for her six grandchildren, Andrew, Denton, Cortney, Keller, Cyrus, and Stella, knew no bounds. Often found on her patio, Jill delighted in observing the wildlife around her, affectionately naming the ducks, geese, and swans that graced her neighborhood pond while savoring a velvet and water.

Jill is survived by her son Matthew, his wife Heidi, and their three children Andrew, Denton and Cortney, all of Oregon and son Mark, and his children Keller, Cyrus, and Stella all of Mountain Home, and many numerous nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her beloved husband Dennis Wetherell, her parents Bartholomew and Audrey Mannion, and her sister Judee Potter.

While Jill's departure from this world may seem untimely, her infectious laughter and indomitable spirit will forever be etched in the hearts and memories of all who were fortunate enough to have known her. In celebrating her life, let us find solace in the joy she brought and the legacy she leaves behind.
