Lynda Becker

Obituary of Lynda Jo Becker

On Sunday, January 7th 2024, Lynda finished her battle with the long term illnesses she had.  She passed on peacefully with her husband and daughter holding on to her with all the love they had to offer.. She fought her illnesses with grace and dignity. She was a strong, courageous, and compassionate woman, who cared deeply about others. This world lost an angel that was finally called home. Lynda’s love and smile will be remembered by many and passed on with stories for even longer. Her impact will be endless in the lives she came in contact with.

Lynda loved her family, friends and doing her favorite things with them. She spent over sixty years researching and documenting her families genealogy heritage as members of the Chickasaw Native American Tribe of Oklahoma. Her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren were her pride and joy, and anyone with an ear to listen would know.  She knew no limits of giving and listening, everyone was worthy of a chance to her.

Lynda’s passing was preceded by her mother and father, Joe and Rachalle Short.  She is survived by her husband William Becker, sister, Dona Malazian of Tucson, Arizona, daughter and son-in-law, Cheri and John Bitrick, son and daughter-in-law, Bill and Christina Brooks of Tucson, Arizona, four grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.  She will join her parents in the Oak Grove Cemetery near Duncan, Oklahoma.  Memorial contributions can be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital.
