Obituary of JoAnn Clark

JoAnn Clark passed away peacefully at home after a short illness on December 13, 2023.

She was born February 28, 1936, in Nampa, Idaho to Joseph Samuel Cox and Mabel (Bradley) Cox. She had two younger siblings, Jon and Mary Beth.

At Age 18, she married the love of her life, Franz Sigel Clark, in September of 1954 and were together for 64 years until Sig’s death on January 31, 2019. Within the next seven years, four children were born. Ardie (Fox) McMonigle, Arlene Noble, Jerry Clark, and Jessie (Miller) Clark. They had seven grandchildren, Casey and Jesse Fox, Audie Noble and Maggie (Noble) Pappas, Evan and Joey Miller, and Katie (Miller) Wiley. They were extremely proud of their seventeen great grandchildren. JoAnn was preceded in death by her first grandchild, JoDean Miller and her daughter, Arlene.

JoAnn raised her children all over the country as Sig was in the Air Force for twenty years; being stationed in Florida, Washington, Alaska, Florida again, North Dakota, Mountain Home AFB, and George AFB, California, before retiring back to Mountain Home, Idaho. They were a very outdoorsy family who loved camping, motorcycling, 4-wheel driving and later enjoyed being snowbirds in their retirement years, spending many winters in Arizona.
