Obituary of Clifford Dunda

Clifford L. Dunda “Cliff,” passed on October 23, 2023, with his family lovingly and attentively by his side. Cliff was born in El Paso, Texas to Mike and Dorothy Dunda on August 31, 1941.

Cliff met his wife, of 60 exciting years, at a town hall dance in Ramona, California. Where lifelong friends were made. Other lifelong friends were made in Santa Maria, California, where Cliff started his career at Vandenberg A.F.B. Then to Clear, Alaska to further his career. Diane said, “A three year camping trip and hunting had a little to do with it.”

Their forever home became Mountain Home, Idaho. Moving here in 1973, with son Keith, daughter Renee, and brother in law Danny. Their future here was blessed as they welcomed a son Jason. Of those unions, came 5 grandchildren and 3 great granddaughters. Whom he imparted his knowledge of the outdoors and golf to his sons, and grandsons. Of which gave him much joy.

Cliff’s football buddy Steve said bar none with stats, teams, etc. They were opposites. Cowboys versus Eagles made for a fun football game to watch.
In their 50’s, golf became a new passion with a casino attached was a help. Thank you traveling buddies and round bellies.

Cliff also served Pine, Featherville area (Rocky Bar Stage) as a contract mail carrier, whom his daughter today does with the same great service.

During these years, he and dear friend Otis Deckard formed, Bennett Mtn. Fur Co. Cliff and Diane traveled northwest to sell and buy furs. Local fur sellers enjoyed his abilities to grade and fairly compensate their hard work.

A man of many talents, he will be missed and forever loved.
