Diana Sicotte

Obituary of Diana June Sicotte

Diana June Sicotte born August 21, 1946 passed September 24, 2023. Survived by her two daughters Brenda Doerr and Theresa Sicotte, and her son in law James Doerr, five grandchildren, Paula, Shelby, Audrey, Derek, and Tommy, and two great grandchildren Baylaa and Beckett and her sister Linda Kell and brother-in-law Jon Kell. Diana was a beloved wife to John Sicotte who passed before her in 2007 and will be laid to rest with her first love and only husband of 46 years at Fort Logan National Cemetery on October 27, 2023.

Diana had a passion for painting and drawing and loved being surrounded by anything botanical, a hobby she shared with her daughters. Her creativity knew no limits; from her artwork to her handmade bedazzled wardrobe all the way to her extravagant costumes outfitting her family for decades of Halloweens, school events, and corporate mixers. Diana filled her days with the classic sounds of old black and white movies and country music that she adored playing with loved ones in a guitar and mandolin circle at family gatherings. Nothing put a bigger smile on her face than the Holidays. Diana filled her home with the smell of holiday food, music, and a dining table large enough to host a full-family game night.

Diana lived her life as a devote Christian, with unwavering faith. She was known for her quick Lucille Ball style wit and ability to talk to anyone who would give her their ear. “I know a little about everything and a lot about nothin” was often her punchline. But most of all Diana cherished being surrounded by her family. Diana’s sparkle, laugh, and infectious sense of humor will leave an indelible mark on everyone she has touched and will be honored and deeply missed in her absence.
