Geraldine Viola Burbank

1936-2023

Geraldine V. Burbank passed away peacefully at home in Mountain Home on September 25, 2023. 

 

Geri was born on June 28, 1936, the daughter of Harvey and Sadie Linthicum Prouty in Osawatomie, Kansas. The Prouty family moved from Kansas to Idaho in the early 40s, and Geri lived in many parts of the United States raising her children and grandchildren, before returning to Mountain Home in her final years. 

 

Geri will be dearly missed by her friends and family, and her memory will live on forever in our hearts.  She is survived by her children, Greg (Karen) Batey, Dan Burbank, Don (Merrily) Burbank, Donna Burbank, 12 grandchildren, and 17 great-grandchildren, brothers Wesley (Terri) Prouty, Tony (Chris) Prouty, sister Dorothy (Steve) Dittman, and dozens of nieces and nephews.

 

Geri was preceded in death by her parents, her son Leroy Dean Batey, siblings, Victor A. Prouty, Harvey D. Prouty, Fred W. Prouty, Debbie Prouty Leach, and spouses Dean “Tiny” Batey and Don Burbank.

 

A private burial will be held in Mountain View Cemetery, Mountain Home, Idaho under the direction of Rost Funeral Home.
