Doloris Aldous

Obituary of Doloris Rae Aldous

Doloris was born at home on November 11, 1950, in Thornton, Idaho. Her family moved from there to Blackfoot, Idaho when Doloris was eight years old, and it was there that she met her eventual husband, Myles R. Aldous. She was raised in a large family, with four sisters and three brothers, and she and Myles had five children together.

Her first job was driving a potato truck in 1967, and she held jobs in many different fields before retiring in 2012. She was very creative, crafting everything from blouses to earrings, and her hand-made gifts are treasured heirlooms. Her greatest legacy, however, is her loving and supportive family.

Doloris passed away at the age of seventy-two at home, in her sleep, after over a year long battle with cancer. She is survived by her brother Doug, her sisters Loma, Rita, and Ronda, her five children Troy, CJ, Tim, Lisa, and Zack, eleven grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren. Her Celebration of Life will be a private affair held by her children on Thanksgiving Day.
