Obituary of Michelle Ann Mingus

Michelle Ann Mingus, 65 of Mountain Home, Idaho, passed away Sunday, July 9, 2023, at the age of 65. Michelle was born December 17, 1957, in Pittsburg CA to parents Thomas and Dorothy (Goodnight) Montgomery. Michelle graduated from Pacifica High School in West Pittsburg in 1976. In 1978 she married Richard Mingus.

Michelle was a “Master Dog Groomer” and groomed dogs for many competitions. She gained notoriety however for her obedience training and showing of her Chesapeake German short hair mixed breed. The first mixed breed allowed to compete.

Michelle is survived her husband of 45 years Richard Mingus of Mountain Home, ID; daughter, Angel Mingus, of Mountain Home, ID; a son, Richard Mingus II, of Mountain Home, ID; granddaughters: Megan (Bennett) of Washington, Emma Mingus, of Pittsburg California, and Ivy Ardebili, of Oakland California; sisters Valerie Jewell, of Florida, Linda Breaux, of Louisiana and Anna Maniscalco of California; brother Charles Montgomery of California
