Obituary of Dorothy Lee Wootan

Dorothy Lee (Thomas) Wootan    1930-2023

Dorothy Wootan passed away peacefully Monday July 10th in Glenns Ferry , Idaho.

She was born on July 16, 1930, in Anthony, Kansas to George and Elsie Thomas.

Funeral services were held on July 17th, interred at Glen Rest Cemetery in Glenns Ferry.

Dorothy was a long time resident of Glenns Ferry. She was proud of her family and friends in the community. She was a member of United Methodist Church, Beta Sigma Phi, Coast Guard Auxiliary, Idaho Cowbells, and served on the boards of the Glenns Ferry Library, Glenns Ferry Historical Society and Elmore County Historical Society. Dorothy loved going to the Senior Center and had many friends in Glenns Ferry. She was known as Granny to all who knew her.

She is preceded in death by her parents, sisters, her ex-husband Marvin Wootan,

her son Wayne Wootan and infant daughter Carol Gene Wootan.

Dorothy is survived by 3 of her children Wes Wootan (Christine) Glenns Ferry, Daughter in law Vangie Wootan Oregon City, Oregon,  Marva Schwager

(Randy) Boise, and Dorothy Marie Patchin (Dennis) of Spokane Washington. She also has 14 Grandchildren, 37 Great-Grandchildren and 2 Great-great grandchildren.
