Fred Miller

Obituary of Fred Raymond Miller

Fred Miller was born on October 18, 1931, at Long Branch West Virginia.  He passed peacefully on March 18, 2023, at St Luke’s Hospital after a short illness. All of his children and several grandchildren were able to visit before he died. A graveside service was held on Monday, March 27, 2023 at Mountain View Cemetery in Mountain Home, Idaho. Cremation was under the care of Rost Funeral Home, McMurtrey Chapel.

Fred married Jo Ann Carson on July 9, 1952, at LaPlata Maryland. They remained together until she died in 2001.  They had four children, all of which survived them; Philip (Linda), Dan (Carol), Brenda Baugh (Dick) and Fred (Heidi); five grandchildren: Evan, Katie, Joey, Chris and Adam and five greatgrandchildren.

Fred served in the U.S. Army from February 1952 to January 1954.  Fred and Jo Ann moved to Mountain Home in 1958.  Fred was a professional mechanic and could fix almost anything mechanical; from lawn mowers to heavy equipment.  If anyone in the family had any car problems they could always count on his help.

He also loved the outdoors. The only time he was not at home was during hunting season.  In his later years he loved taking drives in the desert and mountains to see wildlife.

Fred was a good man; he worked hard and loved his family. He will be greatly missed.
