Obituary of Veronica Cereceres

Veronica Cereceres, age 48, of Mountain Home passed away at home surrounded by family on Thursday, January 26, 2023. Memorial Service will be held at Rost Funeral Home, McMurtrey Chapel on Saturday, February 18, 2023 at 11:00 A.M.

Veronica was born to George Arroyo and Amalia Garcia on December 10, 1974. She grew up in Santa Ana, California. She went on to work in the medical field for over 26 years. She married Tino Cereceres in August of 2013.

Veronica was very involved in her community and charitable events. She loved making tamales for the airmen and women working on base for Thanksgiving and Christmas. She was also involved in Operation Hugs.

In her free time, Veronica loved taking impromptu trips and seeing new places. She loved to be in the mountains surrounded by nature, but her favorite place to be was on the water in her kayak. She would paddle out to the middle of Anderson and just sit out there taking it all in.

Veronica was a loving wife and mother and will be greatly missed. As Veronica always said, “be the change you want to see in the world”.

Veronica is survived by her husband Tino, son Michael Perez of Nampa, son Jordan Perez of Mountain Home, daughter Katelyn Perez of Corona, California, sister Maria Diego of Irvine, California, Melissa Rangel of Santa Ana, California, brother Mario Garcia of Long Beach, California, and mother Amalia of Irvine, California.

Veronica is preceded in death by her father George.
