Obituary of Grover Floyd Boldt

Grover Floyd Boldt "Chub", age 85, formerly of Glenns Ferry, passed away at his home in Fruitland.  No formal services will be held.  Cremation is under the care of Rost Funeral Home, McMurtrey Chapel.

Chub was a great fisherman, hunter, and forager, and would always share his catch in the form of fish frys, meat for the freezer, or jars of pickled asparagus. He knew that good food shared with family and friends is key to a good life, and that keeping busy keeps you young. He served in the Navy and traveled the world, then moved to Washington state with his family after retirement in 1972. In 1989 he began to RV and extensively traveled all of the contiguous United States, making Glennsferry, ID his home in 1996. He continued to travel and enjoy his hobbies for decades longer, sharing his knowledge and joy for life with his grand and great-grand children. 

He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, and a cherished friend and relative to countless others. He will be missed dearly by the people he loved.
