Obituary of Claudette Colleen Titus

Claudette Colleen Titus, age 82, passed away on February 19, 2022, at her, home surrounded by her loved ones. A celebration of life will be held at 1:00PM, on March 6, 2022, at the VFW Hall in Glenns Ferry.  Cremation is under the care of Rost Funeral Home, McMurtrey Chapel.

Claudette was born on December 6, 1939 in Anita, Iowa to Marilyn D. and Charles E. Nelsen. She was the oldest of 8 children. In 1955 she met and married the love of her life, Charles Edward Titus. Together they raised 7 children and several foster children.

She is survived by sister Mardell Alff, and brothers Noel (Kris) Nelsen and Mark (Sue) Nelsen, her children Vicki (Jerry) Fike, Gin (Ted) Sweeney, Carl (Mary) Titus, (Denise) Titus, Mat (Jamie) Titus, Donna (Gene) Fain, Seth (Dawn) Titus, Pete (Tina) Godin and Buck Bosworth. There are 32 grandchildren and 44 great-grandchildren as well as numerous nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her husband of 67 years, Charles Edward Titus, her son Edwin Charles Titus, grandsons Thomas Fain, Scott Titus and Trevor Titus. Sisters Mavis Nelsen, Patricia Cheney, and bother Darrell Nelsen.

Claudette loved her children and made a lesson from any experience they had. She believed a hug was more powerful than words and often calmed a situation just by wrapping you in her arms. She will be truly missed by everyone who knew and loved her.
