Obituary of Bill Graham

William Lawrence Graham born in Twin Falls, Idaho on April 5, 1931, and passed away February 15, 2022, at Saint Lukes Hospital in Boise, Idaho.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00AM on Wednesday, March 9, 2022, at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.  Burial with military honors will be held at 11:00AM on Thursday, March 10, 2022, at the Idaho State Veterans Cemetery, in Boise.  Services are under the care of Rost Funeral Home, McMurtrey Chapel.

William “Bill” was the son of William Marshal Graham and Elizabeth Louise Thacker. He is survived by his wife Lorna Amago Graham, his sister Cleta Belle deDeBoer, his sons; William Scott Graham, Gordon Lee Graham, Alan Lawrence Graham, 4 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great-grandchildren.

Bill served for 23 years in the United States Marine Corps. He is a Veteran of the Korean War and served 2 tours of duty in Vietnam. William Lawrence Graham retired from the United States Marine Corps as a Captain.

After retiring from the Marine Corps, Bill started a printing business where his first wife Haruno and 3 sons worked. His three sons still operate the printing business. After 20 years working in the print shop, he became a middle school teacher for 15 years. The whole time he was working he was also going to night school and received his Bachelor of Arts degree in History from University of California Irvine and later his Master’s Degree in Family History from BYU Provo Utah, and various Teaching Certificates.

Bill was an avid Genealogist helping his church members unfold their family tree. Through arduous and constant vigilance and DNA testing Bill discovered he is related to 4 kings of Scotland. Bill was a devout member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. Bill served in many different callings for the church. He served as a Temple Ordinance Worker in the Los Angeles Temple for 3 Years. Bill and his wife Lorna served as Temple Ordinance Workers for over 3 years in Boise Idaho Temple. He also served as the Director of the Stake Family History Library in Mountain Home, Idaho Stake for over 10 years. Up until his passing Bill was the Family Ward Historian and Ward Assistant Clerk concerning Ward Membership in the Mountain Home 7th Ward. Bill lived a busy life.

He was a gentleman, great father and a good husband. Bill loved to talk to people and tell jokes and go on Sunday drives with his wife Lorna. He will be greatly missed by all who know him.
