Obituary of Louise Anderson

Melba Louise Irving Anderson, age 83, of Mountain Home, passed away at home on January 24, 2022.  A viewing will be held from 5:00PM to 7:00PM, at Rost Funeral Home, McMurtrey Chapel, on Monday, January 31, 2022.  Funeral Services will be held at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, 1150 N 8Th East, Tuesday, February 1, 2022, viewing at 10:00AM and service at 11:00AM, and burial will follow at Mountain View Cemetery.

Louise was born on February 18, 1938, in Glenns Ferry to James and Melba (Eldredge) Irving. At the age of 4, the family moved to Hammett where she attended school through 8th grade. In May of 1956, Louise graduated from Glenns Ferry High School. After graduation, she went to work at the Circle Bar in Bliss where she met her husband Clifford Ray Anderson, an Airman from Mountain Home AFB. They married in Elko, Nevada on August 18, 1956, and moved to Mountain Home shortly after. A year later, they welcomed a daughter, Christine. Soon after that, they moved to New York State where Clifford was from. The following year a son, Jamie Ray was born. At the end of 1959, the family moved back to Idaho settling in Mountain Home. In May of 1960, they welcomed another daughter, Constance Lynn. She was a little red headed girl with a temperament to match. On March 22, 1975, the family was sealed together for time and all eternity in the Ogden Utah Temple. It was the most wonderful thing that happened to their family.

Some of the positions Louise held at church were primary president, teacher, secretary and counselor in Relief Society along with librarian, stake librarian and stake missionary. She and Clifford worked in the Temple for 10 years.

Louise was a cleaning lady at several restaurants, offices and the Tooth Dome.  She was a personal caretaker for an elderly couple which she loved dearly. She was also dental assistant and a clerk at the Salvation Army.

Louise loved making quits for her loved ones and has made quilts for all her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Louise loved her family, her Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ and had a strong testimony for the Church.

Louise is survived by her daughters Christine (Ronald) Bird and Constance Anderson, brothers James, William and Samuel Irving, sister Dorothy Sternod, 7 grandchildren: Travis Anderson, Carolyn Bird McKenna, Trenton Anderson, Jason Anderson, Jennifer Bird Ditty, Raymond Bird, Katherine Bird, and 13 great grandchildren.  Louise is preceded in death by both parents, husband Clifford, son Jamie and sister Barbara.
