My heart goes out to your family. I still can't believe it. Never being able to talk to you again was my last thought. I love you soooo much!! I will never forget those talks and all the times you helped me to see the better side of things when I didn't. You definitely help me through some hard times.. God has definitely gained an amazing angel and until we meet again I will forever hold you in my heart.

Annie,
I can’t believe I’m writing on your obituary…. Man this hurts. I don’t even remember how old I was when I met you, I just know that from that day forward you made a big impact in my life and you became an important person to me so quickly. You just had that power, the ability to win anyone over with your beautiful smile, your sweet voice, your humor, your laugh, and those beautiful blue eyes that shined so bright. You were always there for me when I needed you, when my sister needed you, you were like a mom to me and I always wanted to be at your apartment/house hanging out, whether it be cooking, helping you clean, or just watching Lifetime movies with you. I loved spending time with you so much that when I finally started driving I would pull up to your house in the little purple beater van my dad had. Remember that? You thought it was the funniest thing that I would pull to your house up in that old van lol.
You gave me so many beautiful memories! From being the first person to introduce me to Starbucks, to watching crime shows/lifetime movies after church, to the time you helped me cook posole and arroz con leche for a school project. You showed me what a real mom looks like, one who loves her kids fiercely and selflessly, and the true definition of a ride or die.
I wish I could tell you how much I love you, how much I miss you, and give you one more hug. I wasn’t ready for the news of your passing, and honestly it still feels like a bad dream. Life can be so cruel and I never knew just how cruel until it took your light from us. And somehow I will have to learn to live with this deep pain left in my heart by your departure. I can’t see you, hear you, or hug you anymore, but I will hold on to the memories you gave me and cherish them… Until we meet again to create new ones.

Oh Annie,
We've been looking through the many pictures we have of you, Larry and the kids. So many smiles, always together enjoying whatever you happened to be doing at the time. Such a sharp contrast to what we're all feeling now.
That though the radiance which was once so bright be now taken from my sight.
Though nothing can bring back the splendor in the grass, glory in the flower. We will grieve not, rather find strength in what remains behind....William Wordsworth
This poem spoke to your Dad's heart, Annie.
You are so loved and so missed..

Lenny &Bella Torrejon:
To Annie with great love:
Our hearts and minds have still not wrapped around what has happened. We will forever remember your bright smiles, warms hugs and wide-open welcoming house and heart. I still remember the first time Lenny bought me to the Madera church and Larry and yourself were the first welcoming bright smiles I saw, you made me feel as if I belonged within the family fold. That opened my heart to Christ with his meaning of love and acceptance. I remember the two of you handing me my first bible. Annie you and your family had a huge part to play in the people that Lenny and are today. We will continue to love and remember the great things on how you wanted others to find joy and the lords love in everything we see. You were a mother to all and cared for many even if we never shared this with you. You showed us what a mother's love really looked like. We can never thank you enough for this tremendous gift of love. Until we meet again.
Our Hearts are with the Acevedo's family. Please do not hesitate to reach out to us at any time, you are our family no matter the distance.

I still can't believe that I'm not going to hear your giggle, receive your bear hugs, or share pics of our culinary creations again. Thankfully, we have the promises that weeping is for a night but we will have joy in the morning (Psalms 30:5). Rest in peace, my dearest friend and sister. We will see you when you awaken; until then, a piece of my heart will always be buried with you.
