Obituary of Larry C Nix

Larry Clinton Nix, age 71, of Meridian, passed away at his home on November 2, 2021.  A graveside service will be held at 11:00AM, on Monday, November 8, 2021, at Mountain View Cemetery, in Mountain Home.  Arrangements are under the care of Rost Funeral Home, McMurtrey Chapel.

Larry was born March 5, 1950, in Birmingham, Alabama the son of Ollie Clinton and Elaine (Pettiford) Nix.  He graduated from Minor High School in Birmingham, and then joined the US Navy for a short time.  Larry worked for several welding businesses around the Boise and Meridian area, including the Boise Airport.

Larry married Frances M. Dahlgren on May 1, 2001 in Mountain Home.  Larry loved his dogs, fish and cars, cars, and cars, plus watching the races and making finger steaks for his friends.

Larry is survived by his wife of 20 years Frances, her sons Peter and Kenneth Dahlgren who he accepted as his own and who adored Larry.  His step brothers; David Walker, of California; Mike Walker, of Alaska, sisters; Sharon (Glenn) Tinny, Connie and Teresa.  He was preceded in death by his parents and his first wife Sharon.
