Obituary of Eleanor J. Pinkham

Eleanor J. Pinkham, passed away at her home at the age of 94, in Mountain Home. A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 AM, on Friday, September 10, 2021, at the Christian & Baptist Church, followed by Inurnment at Mountain View Cemetery.  Arrangements under the care of Rost Funeral Home, McMurtrey Chapel.

She graduated from Free Soil School in Mount Morris, Pennsylvania.  She graduated from Waynesburg High School in 1944.  In 1957 she moved to Mountain Home.  She joined Beta Sigma Phi Sorority in 1953. Eleanor started the first Red Cross office in Mountain Home, and ran the FEMA Chapter for Elmore County.   She was on the organizational committee that started the Christian & Baptist Church, and taught Sunday School there for 30 years.

Eleanor was the most conscientious person to remember birthday / anniversaries, and never forgot to send greeting cards.  Eleanor had a smile that could light up any room.  She was loved by everyone she met.

Eleanor is survived by her husband John, daughter Carolyn Sasz, son Marshall Holt, her brother Vaughn Fox, five grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren plus numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother Robert.
