Elizabeth Hampton

Obituary of Elizabeth Mae Hampton

To many who knew her she was Lily, the smiling waitress for decades at Hansons Cafe or the sweetest little lady you ever me as the City Librarian her in Glenn's Ferry. She took pride in whatever she was doing. There wasn't a person who ever met her that she didn’t touch their hearts in one way or another, but to those of us who knew her best we knew her as a wife, a mother, a daughter, a grandmother, a sister and of course a friend.

Lily was born March 31st 1952 to Dick and Ann Harder of G.F.  She was the oldest of 5 children. She spent her entire life here in Glenn's Ferry.  It was in her High School years she met and fell in love with her sweetheart and husband, Frank Hampton where together they raised 5 children of their own. 4 boys and 1 daughter. Bruce, Justin, Thersia, Lance, and Travis.  Frank and Lily spent 53 wonderful years together.

Lily wanted to feed every stray within a 20-mile radius, whether it be a person or animal alike, it made no matter.  She was a momma to a lot of kids other than her own. She loved to read, and found herself happier in the outdoors than anywhere.

Our mother was the Matriarch of our family, the glue that held our family together, we have all been very blessed to have had her in our lives for the time that we had to share.....were gunna miss you momma..

The best love is the kind that awakens the soul and makes us reach for more. That plants a fire in our hearts and brings peace to our minds, that is what you have all given me and what I hope I have given to all of you.

Cremation was under the care of Rost Funeral Home, McMurtrey Chapel.
