Glenda Wiley

Obituary of Glenda Jean Wiley

Glenda Jean Wiley, age 77, of Mountain Home passed away on Saturday, October 3, 2020. Glenda was born on March 15, 1943 in Indiahoma, Oklahoma to Betty and Winfred Christian. Sadly, Glenda was very young when her father died. In time, her mother (Betty) then met and married Kenneth Morrison, and she received two siblings that she loved dearly, Jody and Raymond. The family moved to California where Glenda grew into a strong, formidable woman. It was in Brentwood, CA that she met the love of her life & her future husband, James R Wiley.

Glenda and the love of her life spent 63 wonderful years together, along with their two sons – Robert and Kenneth. Together, the family enjoyed life and adventures, through Jim’s military service, traveling both abroad and the US, from coast to coast. Together they created family memories that will always be cherished.  In 2006, Jim & Glenda settled in Mountain Home, Idaho.

Glenda was loving, caring and generous, at times to a fault, and took great pride and joy in caring for her family. She is survived by her husband Jim, her sons: Robert (Susan) and Kenneth (Candace), her sister Jody, brother Raymond, her 11 grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren.  Her warm smile, big hugs and infectious laugh will be missed by her family and all those whose lives she touched.

Glenda will be laid to rest at the Pack River Cemetery in Sandpoint, Idaho. Cremation is under the care of Rost Funeral Home, McMurtrey Chapel in Mountain Home. The family requests that in lieu of flowers, donations be made in her name to her favorite charity Disabled Veterans Boise Chapter, 444 W Fort St, Boise, Idaho, 83702.
