Obituary of Joseph M Miller

Joseph Moran Miller April 8, 1942-April 30, 2020

Joseph Moran Miller, 78, of Meridian, formerly of Glenns Ferry, passed away April 30, 2020 at the Idaho State Veterans Home in Boise. Cremation was under the care of Rost Funeral Home, McMurtrey Chapel in Mountain Home.

Joe was born at home April 8, 1942 in Glenns Ferry, Idaho to David and Dorothy Miller, he was 13 of 15 children. 

Joe was proud of his twenty years of service in the United States Army where he had traveled to many places overseas and in the United States. He enjoyed bowling, fishing, golfing and spending time with his family. He loved listening to music, especially country and Elvis. He had been known to cut a rug a time or two on the dance floor!

Joe is survived by his son Lyle Miller of Meridian, Idaho, daughter Cindy Elliott of Buffalo, WY, nine grandchildren, and three sisters; Catherine McCown of Oklahoma, Violet Bailey (Fred) of Florida and Georgia Miller of Texas.

Joe is preceded in death by his son Ben, parents David and Dorothy, sisters Dorothy May Stevenson, Mary Lou Plew, Grace Miller, Doris Dupuis and Martha Belcher and brothers David, Wallace, John, Robert, William and Morris.

In lieu of flowers, the family would like donations to be made in Joseph’s name to a Cancer foundation of your choice.
