Glenda Day

Obituary of Glenda Louise Day

Glennda Louise Day, 64, passed away among family on February 23, 2020 at her home, south of Bruneau, Idaho.

Glennda was born April 16, 1955 to Delores (Gray) and Henry Fields at Muskegon Michigan the second of five children, having two brothers and two sisters. She spent her early years traveling the world with her beloved military family.

As a young adult, Glennda spent several years searching for her stable home to nurture her growing family. She found her home of 30 years, five miles south of Bruneau, in Little Valley, Idaho, where she created the atmosphere to do what she loved the most. That being a loving, caring mother, grandmother, wife, sister, daughter, granddaughter, and caregiver to several elderly family members.

She was creative in many ways making many gifts of cloth, wood, plastics, paint, whatever materials caught her eye.

Glennda was an avid reader, the books she read numbering in the tens of thousands. Boxes and boxes and boxes full of books. Everywhere. Until the internet progressed to solve that problem. What a Godsend that was to her. And with that internet, came her interest in genealogy, where she compiled a huge data base of her families.

Glennda is survived by her father Henry Fields, her husband Jim Day, four sons Carl (Mary) Blum, Richard (Kelly) Blum, Matthew Jordan, John Day, her daughter Caitlin (Jeremy) Pineda, 12 grandchildren, two foster grandchildren, two sisters – Delilah, Wintauna (Doug) Belt, a brother John Cavin, and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her grandparents, her mother Delores, her brother Harry Fields, and an infant son Jared Robert Day.

Service have been postponed to a later date.

Cremation was under the care of Rost Funeral Home McMurtrey Chapel.
